The Philippine Government Employees Association (PGEA) is the national public sector labor coalition of duly recognized unions and affiliate groups in the Philippines.
We believe that the public servant is integral to our country’s sustained progress, stability, and resilience. Therefore, no matter which administration is in power, the government must always seek to empower public servants who, along with elected officials, have the shared responsibility of safeguarding the welfare and security of all Filipino citizens.
As essential participants in policy-making processes and policy implementation, government employees are constantly contributing to upholding the public interest and ensuring the delivery of timely public service. We fulfill our duties with utmost virtue and accountability. We devote time and effort to our countrymen with patriotism and a modest sense of social justice.
On the road to further socio-economic development, public servants are focused on effective public administration and on improving work efficiency. In turn, the government is enjoined to ensure good morale and financial sufficiency for its workforce. We, the PGEA, are here to support every effort to promote optimum working conditions, fair employment practices, and a firm commitment to defending workers’ rights.
